Type in what you own, get live prices, see what it is all worth.
Think of it as a spreadsheet that fills in the prices for you. You enter each ticker symbol and how many shares you hold. The app looks up the current price, multiplies, and shows the value of every holding plus the grand total at the bottom.
It is the browser version of the Windows Stock Portfolio Tracker from the-Automator, so it works on a phone, a Mac, a Chromebook, anywhere with a browser.
AAPL) and the quantity you own, then click Add Stock. The app checks the ticker exists before adding it.Type what you paid per share on average in the Avg Cost box when you add or edit a stock. As soon as one holding has a cost, three columns appear: Avg Cost, Gain $ and Gain %. Under the total you also get Total gain for every holding that has a cost. Leave the box blank if you just want to watch the value.
Today under the total is how much your whole portfolio moved since the previous close, in dollars and percent.
The Share column shows what percent of your total each holding is, so you can see at a glance where you are concentrated. Turn it off in Preferences if you do not want it.
Next to the total, a green dot means the market is open and the time shown is the last refresh. A red dot means it is closed and the prices are from the last session.
While the app is open and the market is open, prices refresh on their own every minute. Nothing happens in the background when the tab is hidden or the market is closed. You can turn this off in Preferences.
Open Preferences and tick any of 1 day, 5 days, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, 5 years, year to date, or max. Each one adds a column showing how much the price moved over that period, green for up and red for down. The 1 day figure is the change since the previous close.
Preferences has New portfolio, Rename and Delete. Each portfolio keeps its own list. Once you have two or more, a dropdown appears in the top bar to switch between them.
Give a ticker a quantity of 0 (or leave it blank) and it becomes a watch-only row: you see its price and trend, but it does not count toward the total.
The 1mo trend column draws a little line of the last month's daily closes, green if the month ended higher than it started. Turn it off in Preferences if you prefer a plainer table.
Copy share link in Preferences packs the active portfolio into a web address. Text or email it to yourself, open it on the other device, and it offers to import the tickers there. The list travels inside the link itself; no server ever stores it.
Glance view opens a stripped-down page with just the total, today's move and total gain in big type. Add it to your phone's home screen for a one-tap check.
StockPortfolio.ini from the Windows app, pick the file, or paste plain TICKER=QTY lines, or TICKER QTY COST lines. Existing tickers get their quantity replaced.In Chrome or Edge on the desktop, click the install icon at the right end of the address bar. On Android, use the browser menu and choose Add to Home screen. On iPhone, tap Share then Add to Home Screen. The app then opens in its own window and remembers your list.
